This Rain
A good morning
Gentle rain tapped me awake.
Cascade of wet washed over me
I drank in and thanked in
I like the cloud covers today.

Soft comforters rapt me in my sorrow
Grey day is softening my worldview.
All will be bright again
All has its place.

I like this rain
I’d like to sit with a friend and drink tea
Listen to the dance of taps
Pounds and cleansing of the ground.
New growth is coming
Listen quietly.
