I need love daily or I wither
I heed hugs, kisses, wishes on my wish list to realize.
I feed from fed warm cups of tea and in courage, words.
Tell me I’m great, I matter, we exist and you’re now is hearing.
I can live a day or two, maybe even a week
Without food, shelter, or juicy refreshments.
But love, sensing another intimately sees me
Knows the twitches of my face, pitches of my vocal chords,
Mistakes I’ve made, fears I’ve caved into and stays with me,
Gently blows me away from dying –
Sweetness of their breath, commingled with mine,
Oh yes love, daily.
