Full of Life
I am full of life today
full of joy, the possibilities
the goodness, the beaming warmth
the perfectly delivered gentle breeze, the vastness.

I feel huge
like I am a piece of the sun
emanating out to all who pass
my smile, my wiggly hips
sashaying to Frank Sinatra’s
Just The Way You Look Tonight
while gliding on the streets of Hoboken
on my purple bike with upright handles
whose brakes squeak so loudly
they let everyone know
something’s coming.

This morning I had to stop
and sit on a park bench
facing the Hudson river
facing glorious Manhattan
where my blue eyes closed
my long legs stretched
my blonde head rested
and my body sighed.
