Once knew a man
An arrogant flea
Who twirled all the girls
Right in front of his love
They pushed and they shoved
To spin under his ski slope nose
What a wonder it was
Why this bloke was a show
Oh he danced and he Jimmee'd
The girls all about
Till his Mrs. she swung in
With dark scary clouds
Oh Jimmee could sense her coming
Out of the corner of his blue eyes
Side step and guide her
To their dark brownstone house
When their red door was shut tight
She would push and she would shove
She was stouter than Jimmee
A lily-white dove
One day Jimmee lunched me
Laid his fragile heart out
He wanted to bunch me
Wrap his arms all around
Oh Jimmee you sweetie
I’m honored my dear
But you’re already taken
We sighed and sipped beer
Oh he danced and he Jimmee'd
The girls all about
Till his Mrs. she swung in
With dark scary clouds
Two months passed that summer
Jimmee rang me at home
Meet me for lunch dear
I wrote you a poem
We dined by the river
He was smiling and strong
He read me his poem twice
I was hearing a song
He wanted a lover
Best friend and mate
He wanted my hand
Whispered, marry me Kate!
I looked at him in wonder
No one ever wrote me a poem
Felt myself sliding under
The slope of Jimmee's nose
Oh yes, dance me Jimmee
In the stars and the clouds
I want to be spinning
We need to live now
He spun and he spun me
We were free in our cage
Till the Mrs. caught Jimmee
Looking goo-goo my way
Jimmee wouldn't leave her
Jimmee wouldn't leave me too
My heart it was missing
So I knocked on his door
You, you didn't choose me
You’ll use me no more
Please give back my heart
I need it for a world tour
He gave me nuth'in
I cried and I cried
Wanted to snuff him
Hang out his hide
Two years have gone by
Sailed many a ship
Then I went home again
To the bar for a dip
Oh he danced and he Jimmee'd
The girls all about
Till the Mrs. she swung in
With dark scary clouds
And Jimmee, he danced me
But I gave nothing more
Finger traced his nose
Before strolling out the door
Oh Jimmee Oh Jimmee
Who dances in clouds
Oh Jimmee Oh Jimmee
Still miss ya now
