RHAPSODY: Why are there cracks in roads?
MOM: When they pave the road with that big round paver maybe
they haven’t done it enough times and left an air bubble in the ground
that eventually causes the crack when a certain amount of pressure is
present. You work with clay. You throw it on marble slabs until
you think all air is out cause if you don’t the pottery cracks when
you bake it. Right?
RHAPSODY: Yes.
MOM: Well people are like that too. They need to get their
useless thoughts, the air bubbles, out of them. They walk, go to the
gym or swim to work them out. If they don’t, when they are under
pressure those unspoken things, bubble up and reveal the cracks in a
relationship.
